$1000 Reward Offered for Information Regarding Poached Piebald

This past week in Tennesee a piebald doe was shot from a vehicle. The event was witnessed by Lori Myers and she wants the perpetrators to pay.

She posted the following to Facebook offering a $1000 reward for the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

” This afternoon about 4:20 some sorry person, lower than whale manure, shot the piebald deer on Old Hwy 18 and just drive off and let her lay. It was a neck shot so it was a deer hunter. We have all been watching her grow from a tiny fawn into a beautiful handiwork of God. She was so pretty, white with brown spots. Why would anyone just drive by and shoot a gorgeous animal and just let her lay? They were in a little old red beat-up looking car. If you know anything about this please contact Nick Luper, the game warden for this area. My husband, Mike Nash will offer a $1000.00 bounty for the arrest and conviction of the sorry ass responsible for killing this deer. If anyone else wants to add to this, he will be happy to have you join him in offering this bounty for the arrest and conviction of the sorry ass who did this. She had been admired so much by us in this area, as well as passersby and many of you have a picture of her on your cell phone. Well she’s gone now and we can’t enjoy the beauty she bestowed upon us. The car is seen in this area quite frequently. If you know anyone fitting this description and think they would be low down enough to do this, please contact Nick Luper
at this number 931-287-8382. If you would like to join this bounty, no matter how much or how little, please post it on facebook or let us know. “

I hope people with knowledge of this come forward and not because of the reward but because it is the right thing to do.

I would also like to reach out to Lori and assure her that this was not done by deer hunters. This was done by poachers. hunters and poachers are not cut from the same cloth. We respect the animal and law. Poachers kill indiscriminately and are not part of the hunting community.
