3 men break into house after homeowner posts gun collection online

A homeowner in Wesley Chapel Florida shot and killed two out of three men that tried to break into his home, according to Pasco County Sheriffs’ office. A third suspect is in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to Sheriff Chris Nocco, the suspect was playing video games alone in his home when he heard a crash come from his back door.

The victim grabbed a gun; that’s when he saw a man in a black ski mask down the hallway pointing a gun at him. He fired, and the man went down. He then noticed another suspect down the same hall with a gun and shot him as well. At this point, a third suspect was standing in the same hallway, pointing a gun at him, so the victim shot him as well.

At this point, the homeowner’s gun jammed, and he grabbed another firearm. When he returned, one of the suspects was gone. He then got a call from his neighbor, who told him he was holding the suspect outside at gunpoint.

Nocco said the two dead suspects had violent criminal histories. He added that the surviving suspect would face second-degree murder charges because he was committing a felony in which two people died. He will also face charges of home invasion robbery.

As for the motive, the homeowner told law enforcement he was a gun enthusiast who posts pictures of his firearms to social media. So, he believes his house was targeted.
