A veteran sniper kills 488 pound wild boar in Texas!

Nuisance Wildlife Removal owner Joel Dudley was hunting hogs in a Houston Texas community with his friend Mike Huckaby. These two wildlife removal experts were removing hogs from an area known as the preserve because it is illegal to hunt there.

“We saw this big boar standing around one of the ponds. Even at the distance, we could tell he was massive. We went toward him and couldn’t find him, so we got back on the ATV and went down another road. That’s when Mike got within 20 yards of him and shot him,” Dudley told BlueBonnetNews. “There was another big one that I was watching with my thermal scope. He got within 10 yards of me. I had to shoot him because he was coming right at me.”

The massive hog weighed 488 pounds!

“Mike was able to get within 20 yards of him and shoot him. He’s a wounded combat veteran and was a sniper so he’s a great shot,” Dudley said. “Mike got him right behind the ear.”

“It’s not the only big boar we shot that night. We’d already got two others that night that were over 250 pounds,” Dudley said.
