Deer Processor Charged with Stealing Hunters’ Deer Meat and Poaching 30 Deer!

GALLIA COUNTY, OHIO: 8 have been charged after it was discovered that A&E Deer Processing and Associates were stealing meat from hunters. The company allegedly skimmed meat from the hunters and shot other deer illegally to sell.

A&E is accused of processing more than 700 pounds of meat from hunters who paid A&E to process their deer and then selling it for profit. They have also been charged with poaching 30 deer to sell. It is illegal to steal from hunters and to sell wild game.

“Deer hunting is a deep-rooted tradition in Ohio, with generations having been taught the values of conservation, responsibility, and discipline,” Attorney General Dave Yost said. “This level of corruption violates those tenets, and protecting and preserving this part of our heritage are important to all sportsmen and women.”
