A woman was seriously injured by a deer on Friday while she was marching in a Black Lives Matter protest. The incident in New Jersey also left two others with minor injuries.
The South Brunswick police department said the injuries occurred at Friday’s “March for Justice” at about 5 p.m. at the South Brunswick High School.
During the march, a deer ran from the high school property into the marchers. Deputy Chief Jim Ryan said a woman in her 60s was taken to a hospital with a severe head injury. Two others were treated at the scene. Police that were at the event provided first aid until the ambulance arrived.
