DNR Tells Hunters Their Bait Pile is “Big Enough To Be Seen From Space”

The Michigan DNR was investigating a complaint about some hunters using more bait than is allowed by law. They started by checking google maps for clues about blind locations. While looking they saw a strange mark on the map with trails leading off it. When the Conservation Officers Kyle Publiski and Brian Brosky investigated the next this year they found a giant bait pile.

Conservation Officers Kyle Publiski and Brian Brosky filed a report that reads ” A large spot with multiple trails coming off it was identified and followed up on the day before deer season,” the report said. “The location in question was a very large bait pile with multiple blinds overlooking it.”

“The COs explained that their bait pile was big enough to be seen from space.”

The report did not specify what the hunters were cited with but it could be anywhere from $50-$500.
