Elmer Fudd Disarmed in Looney Tunes Reboot, Because of “Gun Violence”

Bugs Bunny and the Looney Tunes gang are back with all the cartoon violence we have come to expect with one notable exception. Elmer Fudd will no longer carry a gun when he “hunts” Bugs Bunny.

According to The Hill, The Looney Tunes reboot debuted on HBO Max and featured a now disarmed Elmer Fudd. The reasoning behind the removal of guns from the iconic hunter is that it supposedly supports gun violence. So from here on out, Elmer Fudd will now pursue Bugs Bunny with a scythe.

None of it really makes sense all the other cartoon violence will remain. Sticks of dynamite, booby traps and the iconic anvils and bank safes dropped onto characters are perfectly perceptible, but some how they they draw the line at guns.

This essentially make Elmer Fudd not hunter anymore. I do not know anyone that goes afield with a scythe. Maybe its a good thing, Elmer Fudd was not an accurate representation of a hunter anyways.
