The Arkansas Game & Fish Commission is waiving the fee for fishing March 21-29. A unanimous vote was taken on Thursday approving the measure due to the coronavirus scare. Anglers still have to abide by the daily limits, possession limits and tackle restrictions.
Arkansas should be praised for this great move, and more states should follow suit. This will help many people off work that are trying to abide by the social distancing policies recommended by our government. It will give many in Arkansas a cheap way to spend time with their kids while they are off of school.
Getting more people into hunting and fishing is crucial to the sport. This is a great step to help encourage the next generation during these trying times.
