Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Melania Capitan. The well known hunter and blogger took her own life this past week. She had recently been the target of online bullying perpetrated by animal rights activists.
According to The Daily Mail, the suicide comes after it was reported that the internet star was threatened online. Her posts caused much controversy across the internet, especially with animal rights activists who widely criticized her.
As news of her passing became public people flocked to her Facebook page, not to show support or pay their respect, but to gloat and get in one final jab. Her Facebook page has since been pulled down but not before The Daily Mail posted these disgusting quotes.
One person wrote: “You have done a favor to humanity! Bye Bye.”
One internet user added: “She was so bitter that she had to pay her hate killing innocent animals, thank God she killed herself, the only good thing she did lately.”
Another wrote: “Ciao Mel! You made a favor to nature.”
The comments on the Daily Mail article were not much better, they justified the bullying by say if you post photos of animals you killed you deserve the hate you receive.
One again our hearts and prayer are with your family in this hard time. No one deserves to be bullied.
