It seems our society is becoming more and more gun illiterate. Basic gun safety seems like a foreign concept to a lot of people. I have always advocated for gun safety to be taught in school. With
millions of guns in the United States it is very likely that at some point and time most people will at come in contact with a gun and it only makes sense to educate people on what to do when it happens.
According to WLTX CBS 19, while buying clothes at the Addis Store in an Atlanta mall, an eight year old boy found a loaded .22 caliber pistol in a dressing room. His mother wanted to “test if it was real” and squeezed off a round into the wall. Luckily no one was hurt and the only damage was a small hole in the dressing room wall. Police are investigating how the gun got there.
