Mans own brother sprays his blind with deer repellent

A Michigan man contacted the DNR with trail cam pictures of his brother spraying an unknown substance around his ground blind. The two brothers were hunting on forest service land next to a piece of private property they had inherited from their father.

When DNR officer Mike Wells showed up on the opening day of gun season, he caught the man hunting over an illegal bait pile. When he asked the man about the trail cam pictures, he admitted to spraying liquid deer fence around his brothers ground blind.

When asked why he sprayed the deer repellent, the man said it was to keep the deer away from his brother. He told officer wells it was because his brother was cutting off deer on their way to his stand, and he let his emotions get the best of him.

A warrant request has been submitted for hunter harassment and baiting deer when prohibited.
