As soon as the pictures were posted they blew up the internet. Bass Tackle Master racked up 23k shares in less than 24 hours when they posted Thomas Farchione of Waterford, Wisconsin monster redear sunfish.
According to their Facebook post, the fish weighed in at 6.30 pounds was 17 inches in length with a 20-inch girth. He caught the fish in Lake Havasu which is on the border of Arizona and California. The current world record that was caught back in 2014 was caught in the same lake. It weighed in at 5.80 pounds.

Now we just have to wait on the fish to be certified and confirmed as the new world record
