Public Lands Are Off Limits, Donald Trump Needs To Tell The Republicans

During his Election Donald Trump said he had no interest in selling our public lands.

He knows that these are the lands that we hunt, fish and camp. I believed him when he promised not to transfer, sell or do away with our lands. Now he has the chance to stand behind his word.

On 24 January 2017, House Republican Jason Chaffetz of Utah introduced HR 621. It reads:

H.R.621 – To direct the Secretary of the Interior to sell certain Federal lands in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, and Wyoming, previously identified as suitable for disposal, and for other purposes.

If this bill ever gets to trumps desk, I hope he keeps his promise and vetoes it. But I am not waiting for it to get to that point. I want this bill killed in committee. So today, I did something I have never done before. Today, I called my congressman. Even though my Representative is not on that committee, I wanted him to know that I do not support any bill that gets rid of our public land.

As Hunters we cannot sit on the side lines and watch our heritage auctioned off to the highest bidder. We need to take action call our congressman and let them know we will not stand for this. So I called. In today’s world a phone call holds more power than a form email. It shows that it is important. So I encourage you to take 5 min to support hunting.

It really easy. Here is a link that will help you contact your representative all you have to do is enter your zip code.
