Game officials in Florida got quite the surprise when they opened up a 15 foot python. The found the remains of not one but three deer. Based on the remains they conclude that over the last three months the large snake ate a doe and two fawns.
Pythons are a huge problem in the everglades. They pose a huge threat to native species. Every year Florida has a event called the Python Challenge were teams go out into the swamp and try and catch as many of the evasive snakes as possible. They then turn in the snakes to the Florida Fish and Game Department for prizes.
