President Donald Trump has not always been a friend of the media and it appears another White House resident does not care for them either. This became evident when a raccoon who was living on the grounds attack multiple news crews.
According to the Daily Wire, Reporters for CBS News and other news outlets had quite the unexpected ordeal Monday morning when an aggressive raccoon attacked the news crews outside the White House.
Apparently, a large aggressive raccoon grabbed the pant leg of a CBS photographer & then a correspondent before they were able to chase the animal off.
CBS News’ Paula Reid reported on the attack that took place on the North Lawn of the White House.
“Strong Pawnee vibes at White House this morning as a raccoon attacked multiple news crews on North Lawn,” Reid noted, referencing the fictional Indiana town central to the comedy series, “Parks & Recreation. “🦝 allegedly grabbed pant leg of a photographer & then a corespondent (sic) before being fended off.”
It seems the Whitehouse has been having raccoon problems for awhile. The National Parks Service has been trying to trap them with live traps, but the coons have been avoiding the traps.
White House communications specialist Alyssa Farah took the side of the raccoons, suggesting that the creatures be added to the reporter pool: “Starting a petition to add the WH raccoons to the pool rotation,” she tweeted.
As of right now there is no evidence that the racoon attack was politically motivated.
