For hunters boiling a skull for display is fairly commonplace. I did mine a month ago and it turned out great. However for most of America, it is a little weird, and it becomes even weirder if the animal being prepped for display is not your typical deer, but your pet cat that has been dead for three months.
According to Hot New Hip Hop, Azealia Banks dug up her dead cat, lucifer, and boiled his corpse in order to display its bone all while on Instagram live. The entire spectacle did not sit too well with her fans, many saw the video as disturbing and sickening.
“Is Azealia Banks really digging up her dead cat and cooking it on instagram right now?” asked one fan.
“Azealia Banks dug up her dead cat cooked it… I have no words 2021 is not the year,” said another.
One follower wrote: “My stomach is in my mouth right now.”
“Gosh, the poor girl is obviously dealing with a lot. Stop the hate guys,” added another.
Banks responded to the criticism by saying the boiling was for “taxidermy” purposes to preserve the skull.
“I’m taking him to a jewelry shop to have it gilded.” Banks said, “Lucifer was an icon. He deserves to be preserved.”
The videos were deleted off of Instagram, but the Daily mail saved them and have them posted for everyone to see.
The rapper has since made a display of the cats remains, and all I can say is that it is very unique, consisting of a bottle of champagne, Chanel No. 5 perfume as well as a $100 bill and what appears to be a cigar and a crucifix resting in a pink pot around the skull.
This is not the first time Banks has had push back from her fans for doing weird and disturbing things online. A few years back she did a video where she cleaned out a closet where she sacrificed chickens, stating that “Real witches do real things” after cleaning up three years’ worth of chicken blood from her floors.
