Reward Offered After Hunting Dog Found Shot

JONES COUNTY, NC. The Eastern Carolina Houndsmen Alliance (ECHA) is offering a reward for information that leads to an arrest after a hunting dog was found shot during a field trial exhibition.

The dog was participating in the Trenton Field Trials on Saturday, January 21st. When the dog did not return, officials say it was found with a gunshot wound, and later had to be put down. The injured dog was found in the Hofmann Forest.

Several agencies are offering rewards for information. ECHA is offering $750 to anyone with information leading to an arrest and conviction.
