State Eases Lockdown Restrictions by Opening Bait Shops, Boat Ramps, and Outdoor Shooting Ranges

The US economy has ground to a halt. The majority of states have issued lockdown orders to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus. Now there are signs that states are coming out of it by loosening restrictions to their quarantine orders.

According to Fox News, the Governor of Minnesota Tim Walz has issued an executive order reopening many outdoor activities, including bait shops, boat ramps, and outdoor shooting ranges. (Golf course, hiking trails, and ATV trail are also on the list)

Campgrounds and retail stores that sell equipment for outdoor activities must remain closed along with charter boats and recreational equipment rentals.

These new provisions will go into effect on Saturday, April 18 at 5:00 am.

“It’s important for us to stay active and enjoy the outdoors while preventing the spread of COVID-19,” Walz said in a press release. “This measure will allow Minnesotans to take advantage of more opportunities to get outside, while still doing their part to keep their neighbors healthy.”

The easing of restrictions come on the eve of protests at the Waltz’s residence were over 400 people showed up to protest his Stay at Home Order.

Other States have shown signs of easing up the quarantine. South Carolina has decided to reopen boat docks and ramps on 17 Apr and Florida starts reopening its beaches.
