If you love catch and release fishing this video will help you save fish from certain death.
I was with my daughter catching blue gill one summer when a fish swallowed the hook. My daughter watched curiously as I tried to pull the hook from its throat. After yanking the hook out, my daughter noticed the blood. She asked me if the fish would still live for us to catch another day. Not knowing how to respond, I told her “I hope so”.
I had no clue that poring pop onto a fishes cut would stop the bleeding. Now that I have seen this video I can pass the information to my daughter. This will give us a legitimate excuse to buy some sugary beverages while on our next fishing trip.
