Ted Nugent, The Motor City Mad Man, Considering 2018 Senate Run

Why can’t a rock star be a senator? He would be the first to make the jump from the entertainment industry to politics. Al Franken, Jesse Ventura, Arnold Schwazenagger and of course

Donald Trump have made the switch. So Ted Nugent would not be a stretch. In an interview with The Daily Caller Uncle Ted said he would not rule out a 2018 Senate run. He added, “I’m always very interested in making my country and the great state of Michigan great again and there is nothing I wouldn’t do to help in any way I possibly can.”

Nugent summed up his reason for a possible run with this short statement.

“If these GOP sonsabitches dont get it right this time I will come charging in as the ultimate WE THE P*SSED OFF PEOPLE Mr FixIt Consitutional firebreathing shitkicker candidate from hell!”

Incumbent Democrat Sen. Debbie Stabenow, elected in 2000, successfully held off Republican challengers in 2006 and 2012. But can she hold off the Motor City Mad Man.

“Ted Nugent is definitely someone who is in Michigan, he is involved in the public debates here, and he was really there for Donald Trump when he was needed,” Scott Hagerstrom, State Director for the Donald Trump campaign told The Daily Caller.

“I would certainly welcome him giving it a hard look,” he said. “Ted [Nugent] would be the perfect person to tie together the Trump coalition,” Hagerstrom added.

The Constitution sets 3 parameters for one to run: they have to be 30 years old, a citizen of the US for at least 9 years, and when they are elected, must be a resident of the state they represent.

Nugent is reportedly currently a Texas resident, but he has a home in Michigan and would become a resident in 30 days, giving him plenty of time to decide if he wants to jump in…
