A 14-year-old boy was hunting in Huron county, Michigan when his life tragically came to an end. It appears the boy fell asleep in a cornfield while hunting when a farmer came to harvest his crops.
Huron County sheriffs deputies and rescuers responded to a call around 9 a.m. Police said the 14-year-old was dropped off in the field to hunt on his own.
A 25-year-old man arrived with a combine to finish harvesting his field. He was not aware the boy was hunting in the area. He discovers the body shortly after running him over. The boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy will be conducted by the Huron County Medical Examiners Office.
