Well, it is official the monster Oklahoma typical that took the internet by storm has been green scored. Guner Womack’s buck was rumored to be in contention for the world archery record, but now that looks out of reach.
According to a Facebook post by Solo Cam Whitetails, the deer scored an amazing 209-4/8 gross but only netted 192-6/8. Proving once again that a 200-inch net whitetail is hard to achieve.
This means Mel Johnson’s world archery record of 204 inches is safe along with the current Oklahoma typical record of 194 inches set by John Elmer. However, the buck should be the new state archery record beating the 185 6/8 mark set by Larry Luman.
