The Extremely Rare Needle Fire Shotgun’s Unique look Reminds Us Of a Delorian

There are some really cool looking guns out there but maybe none are as unique looking as the needle fire shotgun. Its side-opening breach reminds us of the Delorian and its iconic gull-wing doors.

Needle guns were first designed in the 1830’s by Johann Nikolaus von Dreyse and get their name from the needle firing pin that punctured the paper cartridge when you pulled the trigger. They were put in service by the Prussian army in the 1840s and 50s.
