Tree Stands Recalled Due To Potential Fall Hazard!

Tree stands sold at Dicks’ Sporting Goods, Field & Stream and their online stores have been recalled. It has been discovered that some of the tree stands could break due to the weld leading the seat to fall from the tree. So far three accidents have been reported, but luckily there has not been any injuries.

Field & Stream Timberline Hang On Tree Stands (bottom of canvas seat)

The voluntary recall of the ‘Field & Stream Timberline Hang On’ brand tree stands was issued by Dicks’ and the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Anyone with one of these tree stands should immediately stop using it and return them to Dicks’ for a refund or store credit. If you have a receipt you will get a refund if not you will get store credit. I don’t think many hunters will be happy with store credit from Dicks’.

This recall involves Field & Stream Timberline Hang On Tree Stands. The tree stands are brown metal with a black canvas seat and are used by hunters. The letters “HEH01566” followed by “FS080117” or “FS090117” are printed on the arm of the tree stand between the seat and the safety platform. “Field & Stream” is printed on the bottom of the canvas seat.
