In three towns in central Maine, a manhunt continues for John Danial Williams. Governor Paul LePage issued an emergency proclamation closing all hunting until the fugitive is found. he is wanted for killing a cop. This is probably due to the start of youth turkey season.
Many are suggesting that hunters in Maine are highly capable of tracking this guy down. With a $20,000 bounty on Williams, I would suspect Maine hunters have a better chance than the cops. In the Facebook group, Maine Deer Hunters, many are ready to find the guy. Should we let some hunters go after $20,000 and some vigilante justice, or let the cops handle it?
here is the official statement from Maine Department Of Inland Fisheries And Wildlife.
